Project Overview
This project utilized steel modular containers supplied by CIMC which formed the main bedroom and corridor elements. These pods were erected on top of a steel frame and metal deck/ insitu concrete podium deck which was fully designed and detailed by GGP. Given the complex shape of the building, several areas required full height multi-storey design as a traditional construction which worked in conjunction with the adjoining modular units. Due to poor ground conditions we designed an insitu suspended ground floor slab, which in turn was supported on piled foundations.
GGP also designed and detailed all external civil elements, including car parking and drainage. The drainage was designed in 3D using microdrainage to determine the optimum attenuation requirements.
